MERCHANDISING NOTES
Strips are the anchor of a treat wall — face them at eye level and let the rest of the set hang off them. They cross-merchandise with training gear and with any grab-and-go counter, and they are the SKU customers come back for on a fixed cycle, so they carry the reorder.
HOW IT'S MADE
Whole human grade chicken breast is hand-cut into strips, so pieces stay long and fibrous rather than crumbling into dust in the bag.
The strips are slow-dehydrated at low temperature for hours until the moisture is gone. Slow and low keeps the chew rather than turning the meat brittle, and it means no preservative is needed to make it shelf stable.
One ingredient goes in and one ingredient comes out. Nothing is sprayed, coated or added after drying.
FEEDING AND PORTIONING
A single 8oz bag holds a lot of treat — strips tear along the grain into three or four training-size rewards, which is the answer to "isn't that expensive?" on the shop floor.
STORAGE AND HANDLING
Store cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. Unopened bags are shelf-stable and need no refrigeration. Once opened, reseal and use within a few weeks for best texture and aroma. Freeze-dried products are brittle by design — some breakage in transit is normal and doesn't affect quality. Products containing bone must be fed under supervision.
